This post features a recent game review that I completed for the Go Teaching Ladder (GTL) for CreedFox (16 kyu). If you haven’t discovered the Go Teaching Ladder yet, watch my blog for a review of the site. I plan to do one soon. The GTL has been around for a number of years and is a wonderful resource for players looking to get stronger.
This game review has already been sent to the Go Teaching Ladder for posting on their site and has already been sent to CreedFox, the player requesting the review. I’ve posted a video version of the review both for CreedFox and for other players in the 25-15 kyu range that would like get ideas for improving. The information in the video is much the same as what I’ve written and inserted in the sgf file. But, come on, wouldn’t you rather watch a video? I know I would. (I’ve posted a link to the sgf below in case you want to use it to work other variations.)
View/Download the sgf file >>>
Have you had any of your games reviewed via the GTL? If so, did you feel the experience was useful?

B35 seems fine to me, B35 at C8 would be a disaster, because of W36 at C10. Even B35 at C9 seems risky considering e.g. W36 at B11
Comment by goki March 17, 2009 @ 10:36I’ve had one of my games reviewed on GTL (http://gtl.xmp.net/reviews/data/66/6632-Rich74-isimatu-marshmn.sgf” rel=”nofollow”>see here) and it was very useful (reviews pretty much always are!), though it took a few weeks for them to find someone to do it and get the review done…
