“To make intuition pay dividends we must develop reading skills as well.”

So true :). The solution was also one of intuition for me, only possible through constantly exposing myself to problems like these many, many times. It’s also worth noting that this is also a problem that DOES come up in games…nothing quite like the pain of only managing to see something such beautiful tesuji in a post-game review rather than in-game :).
